Perth Theatre Trust & RTRFM are proud to announce the return The Courtyard Club, a free 8-week concert series taking place every Friday evening from November 3 to December 22 in the State Theatre Centre Courtyard.
In RTRFM’s 40th year we are pleased to be teaming up with The Perth Theatre Trust for the fourth year to bring live, local music into the heart of Northbridge at the iconic State Theatre Centre Courtyard. The Courtyard Club has become the perfect place to start your weekend with friends while experiencing live radio and local music for free.
The series opens on Friday November 3 with six hours of Perth’s finest indie rock, punk, folk and avant-pop as a part of WAMfest’s Friday showcases. Kicking off at 4:00pm, catch WAM Hall of Famer (DJ), Airline Food, Nerve Quakes, Spring Peaks, Simone and Girlfunkle and Verge Collection playing long into the night at the State Theatre Centre on live on RTRFM. Presented by local music program Homegrown, catch some of Perth’s finest all in one place.
Throughour November and December join RTRFM every Friday night from 5pm for live radio, live music and RTRFM DJ’s. Alongside the WAM Festival hear from the jazz infusioned Fat Sparrow, Australian troubador and story teller Peter Bibby, rockabilly master Catzilla, ambient noise makers Erasers, hip hop super ground Premiss Collective, purveyour of groove Charlie Bucket Band and Fremantle rhythm makers Bambuseae Rhythm Section.
Each live set will be followed by RTRFM DJ’s, featuring Oliver Laing (Drivetime), Libby Noble (Out To Lunch), Gidget Duck (Rock Rattle n Roll), Aki Swati (Mei Saraswati and Aikoka), Alyshia Gatani (Trainwreck), Osric (Black and Blue) and Charlie Bucket (El Ritmo)
Courtyard Club is an all ages event with licensed bar and food options, making it the perfect meeting place to celebrate the end of the working week.
