New Board Member for Perth Theatre Trust
The Chair of the Perth Theatre Trust (PTT), Mr Morgan Solomon, has announced a new Board appointment for the Trust.
Ms Tanya Sim, Co-founder and Managing Director of Block Branding, has been appointed to the PTT Board for two years.
In the past five years Ms Sim has been awarded the WA Business News 40 Under 40 award for entrepreneurship, and was a finalist in Telstra's Businesswoman of the Year awards.
Mr Solomon said Ms Sim bought not only business but arts expertise to the Board.
“Ms Sim has worked on the board of a number of arts organisations including the Mark Howlett Foundation and Artery,” he said.
“We particularly value the strategic communications experience she will bring to the Trust.”
Ms Sim’s appointment coincides with the reappointment for two years of trustee, Ms Michelle Tremain. Ms Tremain is a Partner at PwC, heading up the GST team in Perth.
Perth Theatre Trust is responsible for the management of the State Theatre Centre of WA, His Majesty’s Theatre, Subiaco Arts Centre and the Albany Entertainment Centre. It is also responsible for the lease of the Perth Concert Hall.
