Message from the Chair
On behalf of the Board of Trustees, I welcome today’s announcement by the State Government regarding changes to the Perth Theatre Trust.
These changes signal an exciting future for the Trust and, above all, will deliver benefits for the public and the State’s performing arts sector.
Significantly, the new operating model for the Trust will enhance our working relationship with the sector, provide the opportunity for additional programming and increase the use and sustainability of the State’s most significant cultural assets.
The Trust will now be centre stage dealing directly with the resident companies, venue hirers and promoters. We will also turn our attention to resourcing audience development and educational programs for schools and the arts sector.
These changes will occur over time and are in the hands of a skilled and professional team who share your passion and vision for a vibrant performing arts sector.
We are confident that these changes will see the Trust position itself as a leader in the arts and entertainment sector.
